It's official- the flu that my dad was suffering from over the weekend has hit me, and
I feel awful. My legs ache, my head hurts and I can't walk properly (but that could be from sitting on my legs whilst spending hours on this laptop). It is what can only be described as
man flu, and it sucks. Worse of all, tonight
I'm missing a night out. So instead of
dancing to some Gobble tunes, I'm stuck inside with a Lemsip with episodes of
Family Guy to keep me company.

But beside spending most of today
feeling sorry for myself, today has been a good day in the fact that
I have pulled my finger out and managed to do some work. I've had a Broadcast Journalism assignment for the past four weeks, and I got the interview done weeks ago but have been slowly editing the audio. Today, after having lectures 9-1 and then
popping into Hanley to buy a coat (from Primark, to save the pennies!), I sat down and started finishing things off.
But things weren't so simple. Half way through getting my work done,
I receive an email telling me that I have more work on top of what I already have. At first,
I stressed,
I panicked, but now it's 9.52 pm and all the work has been done.
I think what's made me get my head into this work is the fact that today,
it got dark at like 4.30pm, making me think it was much later than it was. This put me under stress, and that's when I work best.
So it seems the cold days and the dark nights are good for something, then!
