Cancelled lectures.

Now don't get me wrong, I like my course. I really do want to be a journalist and I'm enjoying most things about it so far. But a few days ago, I got the news that this week's Wednesday lectures were cancelled.

Despite enjoying the course, it's always nice when you hear that you don't have to go somewhere that you had planned, and can instead spend the day inside. And today was a good day for that, because the weather was vile. It decided to tip it down all day, and not only that, but it was freezing cold. So instead of waking up at 8am to experience a cold bathroom and a cold shower, I casually got out of bed at 11 when the house was nice and warm and I even had time to make a bacon and sausage sandwich!

I feel today has been quite productive aswell. Not only am I cracking on with my sister's second birthday present and nearly have it complete, but I managed to come up with some ideas for upcoming assignments, type up some lecture notes and start obtaining a few facts and figures for my news feature assignment, which has to be in in about three weeks. Better to start early I guess, even if I am still afraid I'm going to type it all up last minute. But I'll see about that.

Usually, having a day off makes me lazy, and makes me stay in bed most of the day and achieve next to nothing. But today's been alright, and with no work on top, it's been pretty relaxed. Which makes tonight more than worth it, as I'm out at Gobble, which should be a good night! However, shamefully, I've got a lecture at 9 tomorrow...I'll let you know how that goes!
