Catching up with a friend.

Me and Nat in a finer moment
Being at university really distracts you from friends at home. Sure, I still keep in touch with (and miss) people, but when we're all off at university/ work, doing our own little things, it's hard to physically meet up with someone.

Earlier this week, I heard the news that my friend Nat was over in Stoke doing training at the BHS Restaurant in the city centre. For the past few days, we've been aiming to meet up, but haven't found time. But today, I managed to finally meet up with her in Hanley, where we went for a Starbucks.

Nat is a really good friend of mine. I feel she has the same sense of humour as me and she's hilarious, always making me laugh with her little catchphrases and sayings. Ever since I met her in year 7 of high school, we've stayed in contact, even though we're both doing different things in life in different areas too.

And catching up with her today was what made me smile, probably because I haven't seen her in quite a few months. We had loads to talk about, practically stayed in Starbucks until it closed and then walked around The Potteries- which she's never been in before, so I helped in popping her Potteries cherry.

A few minutes later, we ended up getting the bus and heading home. Nat's staying in Newcastle, so I had to get off the bus before her. But it was a great day and a great catch up- and as she's going to be here for the next few days and that I'm going back home on the weekend, I'm certain I will meet up with her again.
