A bit of a simple thing that made me smile today, but nonetheless, with today being extremely busy and also really cold, it was probably the only time I was even relaxed enough to smile.
Back to the busy day, and today I got up at around 8.30 and since then I haven't stopped. I had a lecture at 9, work from 12-2 and 4-6 and then food shopping. And it's been one of those days where, conveniently, because there's lots to do, it's gone extremely fast. This has left me with little time to tighten loose ends to my news feature which has to be handed in tomorrow, so off to the library I go once more tonight.
But anyway, I'm rambling...where was I?...ah. Yeah, so with the weather being freezing, our house was in turn freezing. The heating has been on loads lately but this week I think we're trying to cut back on using it so much due to the money it's most likely going to cost us. So this made me come up with alternative ways to heat myself up. I tried putting on a few hoodies, my hands were still cold. I tried getting under my duvet, the bed was too cold.
Then I thought of something simple- a nice warm cup of tea. So I got one prepared, poured it into my favourite mug and it did something that heating couldn't do. My hands were warm, body was warm and my body temperature was restored to the right temperature. So take this as advice fellow students. If you're ever freezing cold, just stick the kettle on, pour a cup of tea and the job will be sorted!
Mmmm I have to agree, although I'm more of a coffee person (as I'm sure you know, beings I practically force you to make me several everyday).
ReplyDeleteSo... for commenting, I expect a coffee! :D
coffee is my god. I don't do well on a morning without it and if I didn't have 10 (literally) cups a day I don't think I'd cope very well.
ReplyDeleteAlso I can't deal with the weather either, our shower froze yesterday and so we had to use the bath instead, which took forever to run, so I was running out of time fast.
Totally relate to this blog, keep it up.
